Game of Thrones Exhibition Opens in Hong Kong

It’s been eight years since Ned Stark first warned us that “winter is coming”, but now it is finally upon us. The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones started on April 15th and the hype surrounding the show has reached fever pitch. Now, to help you get your Westeros fix before Jon Snow takes on the Night King, Cityplaza shopping mall have opened an amazing new Game of Thrones exhibition.

The exhibition is a must-see for any Game of Thrones fans and worth crossing The Wall that is in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong border. A life-sized replica of the Iron Throne has been flown in so you can get your photo taken doing your best impression of Joffrey Baratheon or Cersei Lannister. Hopefully you aren’t afraid of dragons, because there is also a six-meter long and 3,000 pound statue of Viserion. Luckily, this dragon doesn’t breathe fire.

In total, there are eight interactive zones including an AR White Walker photo booth, which allows you to see what you would look like if you joined the Night King’s army. Fortunately, the transformation isn’t permanent, which allows you to check out the awesome merchandise on offer too. Why not show your allegiances with a coffee mug or table coaster with the coat of arms of your favorite house. We won’t judge you either if you secretly want to buy a Lannister mug.

The exhibition is spread across the second floor of the atrium and the center bridge of the Cityplaza mall. The event only runs from the 10th to the 23rd of April, so any fans wishing to check it out may want to move a little faster than Daenerys Targaryen did crossing the Narrow Sea.

Location: 2nd Floor Atrium & Centre Bridge, City Plaza, 18 Tai Koo Shing Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong

Event Period: 10th April – 23rd April

Opening Times: 11:00 – 21:00

Cost: Free!
