Shekou International School (SIS) 2020 Summer Scholar Program at Jingshan Campus was a hit!

SIS students from nursery to Grade 8 had the opportunity to participate in our academic-themed program, centered around the fundamental principle of learning and surrounded by their friends.

“The Summer program was special this year because we have never had a year like 2020”, said Greg Smith, SIS Head or School. “The program intended to provide the shared classroom experiences that our students did not have enough of this school year.  It was rewarding to see how many students enjoyed being together with their friends and teachers.”

The program’s core base centered around high-quality collaborative learning activities in English, Maths, and Chinese and took part in group-learning activities in other learning spaces such as the gym, theatre, dance, and art.  Our excellent and dedicated SIS teaching staff led all classes, with support delivered by the Five-Star Sports educators and administration team.

“The summer camp was a good place to be with my friends and teachers and be more productive during the summer holiday. My favorite subject was art because we learned different techniques and tried new things,” said Josephine, Grade 6.

We hope that students made a host of great memories with their friends that they cherish as they continue into their summer vacation.
