With Halloween falling on a Wednesday this year, we have plenty of events and activities taking place starting this weekend and even some extending into or taking place just on Halloween day. As usual, we’ll continue to update this page with new items as they become available so be sure to check back often and or before going out.

Where to Buy Halloween Gear
If you haven’t found the perfect costume yet, you may still have time to buy it off taobao. If not, here’s a list of places across Shenzhen to get your halloween gear.

Yes, I know this is far but if you’re really into Halloween you may want to pay this place a visit. They have the widest selection of Halloween paraphernalia in town! Hours of Operation: 9-19:00. Mao Yuan Wen Ju Dian (Shekou)
For those that couldn’t make up their minds or just wanted to wait until the last minute, there’s a stationary shop at #81 Hai Chang Street that sells various masks and other items that can be used to put together a fast and easy costume. EVENTS FOR KIDS & FAMILIES
Each year, ShekouDaily organizes a self-guided “Trick or Treating Trail” so that children can enjoy the time-honored Halloween traditions right here in Shekou. This year, 22 businesses have so far confirmed they will be available to provide children (in costume) with treats! Since Halloween falls on a Wednesday, many schools and children’s groups have let us know that their kids plan to dress up in costume on various days starting from Friday. So, to help as many children as possible have a good time, our 5th Annual Trick or Treating Trail of Shekou will be available Friday October 26th, Saturday the 27th, Sunday the 28th and Wednesday October 31st! (Note: Not all businesses will be able to provide treats every one of the above days so please check the dates below). Be sure to scan the QR Code in the map below for addresses or to see the latest version as new places are added almost daily.
7th Annual Family Friendly Halloween Party in Futian
If you’d like to take the kids out Trick or Treating but don’t feel like coming down to Shekou, visit the 7th Annual Family Friendly Halloween Party in Futian. Saturday October 27th at 7pm. Children in costume get free snacks, beverages and treats. There will be live music playing children’s tunes, games, a dance contest and costume awards. Specials for mom and dad too. Bring the whole family. Xpats is conveniently located in the Futian Central Business District (CBD) of Shenzhen. Convention & Exhibition subway station, Exit-B. Kid-Friendly Halloween Party at The Cavalier
Cavalier is hosting a Halloween Party on Saturday the 27th with plenty of activities for kids; including a freaky feel box, a Halloween prop portrait, and a lollipop lucky dip. They will also provide one free drink for adults wearing costumes beginning at 5:00pm. They’ll have free food as well for everyone from 5:00pm. Halloween Make & Take Prep Party
While the kids are busy getting ready and making chocolate candies, the parent will enjoy beverages and snacks and are invited to make some naturally soothing blends to help the kids digest and sleep better after the sugar rush. Kick It is having their 3rd Halloween Bar Crawl in Shenzhen on Saturday October 27th! Get into costume and come join us as we move together as a group from bar to bar and have a great time while making new fiends! We’re starting the crawl at 5pm at Luna Bar, then to George and Dragon British Pub, followed by Kabir’s, then Baia Burger Concept. You must have a ticket to attend. Limited to 100 people.
