Sad news hit music and entertainment lovers in Shenzhen today. The highly anticipated Jessie J and Flo Rida concert has been cancelled. Below is the official press release from the event organizer Red Dragon Culture Media Entertainment (Shenzhen) Limited, followed by the text of the release.
The organizer has confirmed that people who have already purchased tickets will be receiving a 100% refund. Additionally, we’ve been notified that people who won free tickets in the giveaways ShekouDaily has been running for the last five weeks will receive a special gift instead for their support.
We know this is devasting news for Jessie J and Flo Rida fans and understand the challenges faced by foreigners trying to bring quality entertainment to China. We will continue to support such efforts and hope that China will eventually become a place where events like these can happen more often.

It is with sincere regret we wish to inform the public of the cancellation of the concert – ‘Jessie J and Flo Rida Live in Shenzhen 2017’ due to unavoidable circumstances owing to unforeseen issues pertaining to local production. Hence, the Management of Red Dragon Culture Media Entertainment (Shenzhen) Limited has decided to cancel the event scheduled to be held on the 1st of December 2017 at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre Stadium, Shenzhen, China.
Proceeding with the show would have severely impacted the overall event quality and hence keeping in mind the best interest of Artists, Jessie J and Flo Rida, and the General Public that has pre purchased tickets in anticipation for a high quality musical experience, we the team at Red Dragon Culture Media Entertainment (Shenzhen) Limited felt it was best to cancel the show than producing a subpar event.
We wish to reiterate that the event was canceled due to unforeseen issues pertaining to production and not due to any fault of Artists, Jessie J or Flo Rida or their respective Agents or Management Companies.
Whilst sincerely apologizing for the inconvenience caused, we assure you our company will continuously strive to deliver empowering and great event experiences in the future to all our Guests, Corporate and Community Partners. All pre-registered attendees will be receiving a 100% refund for tickets purchased. Thank you for your tremendous support and we look forward to seeing you again at the next scheduled event.
