Classical poetry is a unique part of Chinese culture and a true reflection of the spiritual and emotional world of the Chinese people. In order to help the children better understand the charm of classical poetry and the spirit of Chinese culture, all the teachers in the Chinese Language Group this term took the children to study many outstanding classical poems and carried out a series of learning and practical activities of “China in Poetry”. The children were able to appreciate the fun and simplicity of classical poetry through an academic and fun poetry competition, a performance of “Dream of the Red Chamber” and a literary art exhibition of classical poetry. The event will also be supported by the school’s Centre of Excellence, the Creative Arts and Design Department and the Performing Arts Department, providing further opportunities for the artistic expression of classical poetry. The event will be split into two sessions for primary and secondary schools. Interested students, parents, teachers and friends from all walks of life are welcome to join us in celebrating the joy and growth of children learning classical poetry.

【Huitong House Day Summer Sports Carnival – Ping An-Huitong Cup International Equestrain Invitational Tournament】

On the morning of the 1st of June, we will be hosting a major academy day – “Huitong House Day Summer Sports Carnival – Ping An-Huitong Cup International Equestrain Invitational Tournament” to celebrate the establishment of Huitong’s five sports academies.
We have prepared an exciting carnival for the Huitong community on this day.
Watch the International Horse Show Invitational Competition and welcome your young riders to participate!
Witness the launch of the five Huitong Sports Academies. You and your child can get up close and personal with sailing, rowing, golf, fencing and equestrianism through a range of hands-on activities.
Huitong students have prepared a special food stall – all proceeds will be donated to charity projects to help rural students gain access to education.
