On October 16th, the Shenzhen Municipal Transportation Bureau said that due to the construction of the Shenzhen Bay Port Station of Metro Line 13, the Shenzhen Bay Port Bus Terminal will be closed on October 21st and operations there officially suspended, as the Bus Terminal is located within the construction area of the subway station.

The Nanshan Administration of the Shenzhen Municipal Transportation Bureau will simultaneously move the stop for a total of 19 bus lines to a new location called Xinchang Station (新场站).

Location of the new station and the walking path

There is a pedestrian bridge, approximately 310 meters in length, called the Tianqiao Bridge (天桥), between the newly built bus station and the Shenzhen Bay Port. The pedestrian bridge is equipped with escalators and elevators to facilitate access. The distance between the port to the new bus station is about 600 meters.

This is NOT the same bridge that was announced back in July, that leads to the new parking area across from Wanghai Road. More details about that bridge (pictured below) can be found here.

The Nanshan Administration of the Shenzhen Municipal Transportation Bureau said that it will continue to monitor the operation of the new bus station, promptly adjust the facilities of the station as needed, and provide a safer, smoother and more convenient travel environment for citizens.
