LATEST SCHEDULE UPDATED OCTOBER 22ND. SEE BELOW.
UPDATE FROM THE ORGANIZERS (1:45pm October 20):
As it stands, based on the latest weather report at 11am on Thursday, October 20th, we have no choice but to dismantle and remove all the booths and set-up at the Maker Faire Shenzhen venue, suspend all activities on Friday and to re-build the scene on Saturday. This forces us to reschedule Maker Faire Shenzhen as follows:
MAKER FAIRE SHENZHEN: Sunday, October 23rd and Monday, October 24th
ZAO Talks Forum: Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd.
Please see the new revised schedule below
The 2016 Maker Faire Shenzhen will be held in Sea World this year from 10am Friday October 21st to 10pm Sunday October 23rd. Those of you that were in Sea World today may have already seen as construction and preparations are underway for this unique, fun and educational event that is free and open to the public.
Maker Faire Shenzhen, building off the original Maker Faire started in the U.S. in 2006, has been organized by Chaihuo Maker Space for the last four years. It is an annual gathering where makers exchange ideas and display their creations.
This year’s event has been drawing a lot of buzz around two new activities… drone and robot combat.
Over 200 exhibitors will attend Maker Faire (many from overseas), and there’ll be forums, workshops, an electronic music party, fashion shows and other hands-on activities, throughout the three days.
For the complete schedule and map; including when and where to watch the robot and drone combat, see details below.
