Nausheen I. Chen is an expat filmmaker from Pakistan who’s been living and working in Shenzhen for the past 4 and a half years. She leads a video strategy and production team called Zen & Zany, with foreigners and Chinese crew working together to create films.
She’s just launched an online video series to document what it’s like working in the media industry in Shenzhen as a foreigner and an entrepreneur. In her first episode, she talks about her story, and how she found motivation to start the video series.
The Zen & The Zany: Episode 1

The Zen & Zany: episode 2
We all have histories of our lives prior to coming to China: Nausheen used to work at a Fortune 500 company (Procter & Gamble) before coming to Shenzhen. She reflects on her experience at P&G in this episode and talks about the 5 things she’s learnt during her time there.
The Zen & Zany: 5 Things
