3 Days, 3 Tests, 3 Donts: Health Code Changes for Arrivals in SZ

Starting last Friday (November 25, 2022) Shenzhen implemented the new policy, ‘3 Days, 3 Tests, 3 Don’ts’(三天三检三不)for any person who returns to the city.

1. What is ‘3 Days, 3 Tests, 3 Don’ts’?

The policy indicates that people who return or visit Shenzhen will have their health code branded 三天三检三不 (3 Days, 3 Tests, 3 Don’ts), which means the person needs to conduct three tests over three days. During this time, they cannot meet in groups,  go to restaurants and visit places with a large number of people (namely the three don’ts).

2. Preparation before coming (returning) to Shenzhen

A declaration is required before coming (returning) to Shenzhen on the “深i您” mini program, and people can enter Shenzhen with the nucleic acid test negative certificate within 48 hours or the nucleic acid sampling certificate (record) of the day (within 24 hours).

3. How to remove the “3 Days, 3 Tests, 3 Don’ts” sign?

If the nucleic acid test results remain negative, the sign will be automatically removed after three days.

4. Can I go for medical treatment during this period?

Yes, appointments should be made in advance. For detailed information, please consult the hospital. 

5. During the period, can I take public transportation?

Sure. Please wear a mask, show the health code for inspection as required and keep self- protection.

6. Can I stay in the hotel during the period?

Yes. For details, please consult the travel epidemic prevention policy of Shenzhen and consciously comply with the epidemic prevention and control requirements of Shenzhen.

7. Can I have meals in the restaurant during the period?

No, meals can only be bought by packing and taking out.

8. Is nucleic acid test required after landing in Shenzhen?

People coming to (returning to) Shenzhen through transportation stations (such as airports, railway stations, bus stations, docks) should implement landing nucleic acid detection. The first nucleic acid test shall be carried out within 12 hours after the arrival.
