To be the first modern – Japanese restaurant in a luxury hotel which located in the center of
Shenzhen‘s premier CBD, Futian District, MATSUYI offers adventure of Japanese cuisine such as
teppanyaki, sushi, sashimi and Omakase, with finely selected seasonal ingredients by Chef
Matsuzaka Yutaka from Sendai, Japan. A wide range of sake selections which categories into four
sections by its body and style: Aroma, Crispness, Richness and Artisan. Meanwhile, the culinary
team will pamper our guests with Japanese imperial traditional sweet – Wagashi, alongside with
stylish matcha service.

‘MATSU’ means ‘pine tree’ in Japanese, with the restaurant’s name a symbolic
reference to elegance, strength, and longevity throughout all four seasons. And in a
further nod to Japan’s reverent relationship to time, MATSUYI ’s branding features the
most beautiful of timepieces, the hourglass. The invitation at MATSUYI is clear: to
make time for friends, for family, and for connection within the lively surroundings, but
also to relish time’s cycles through a menu that savours seasonality.
