The Center is an expansion of the Shekou Management and Service Center for Expats (Shekou MSCE) free legal consulting program in 2019. One year after Shekou MSCE launched the free legal consulting service for expats, the MSCE staff saw the expat residents’ needs of legal services, they and the lawyer in charge of the free legal consulting program proposed the idea of setting up a center especially for foreign-related legal services.

In conjunction with the Justice Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, Justice Bureau of Nanshan District and Qianhai Notary Office, Shekou Sub-district Office has set up the Shekou Foreign Legal Assistance Center.
The new Center is the first comprehensive multifunctional foreign-related legal service platform in Guangdong Province. Its primary aims are to assist with, and solve the foreign-related legal needs of Chinese and foreign residents in the administrative area, lay the foundation for building a peaceful and stable international neighborhood.
The center offers nonprofit legal consultation, mediation, notarization, tax and visa consultation as well as psychological counseling and intellectual property conseling service to both Chinese and Expat residents.
It has invited 27 professional lawyers to provide legal services. They are majoring in different fields and are proficient in English, Korean and Japanese. They can better help expats understand local laws and regulations.
The foreign-related notarization service is handled by staff from Qianhai Notary Office every Tuesday and Thursday. The nine categories of notarization cover many aspects of expats and benefit for international schools, foreign-related companies, as well as for both Chinese and expat residents.
It also has specialists in tax, visa and intellectual property here to solve your puzzles.
If you felt depressive or stressed, don’t worry, the foreign professional psychologist will teach you how to deal with it.
One Topic One Month is the Center’s brand activity. Every month, the Center will invite lawyers, or notaries, and other professionals to answer questions that expats are most concerned about by seminar. At the same time, the key points of the seminar will be posted on Shenzhen Daily to benefit more expats in Shenzhen.
