Cena is located in the popular neighborhood of Shuiwei, an area known for its F&B, Cena fits right in among them. In a prime location, a short hop from the metro this small but welcoming venue should be added to your rotation of dining choices. With indoor and outdoor seating of 25-30 this can cater for small or larger groups, and makes for a good work or study location due to its convenient location and peaceful ambiance.
The service here is excellent, very welcoming and friendly, with service available in both English and Chinese. The group behind Cena has a wealth of F&B experience, including a previous Shuiwei location Trafalgar, as well as multiple locations in Hong Kong, and this really shines through in both the professionalism and manner of the service.
There is a varied choice on the menu, with classics such as spaghetti bolognese, cheeseburgers, nachos, sandwiches, soups and more. The English breakfast and breakfast burger are nice additions to the menu too for those who want a brunch style meal throughout the week.
These are very well executed dishes, with good portion size and a price point comparable for the location and cuisine. The ingredients are fresh and of good quality, and a lot of care and attention is put into the dishes.
As one would expect from a restaurant and café there is an extensive tea and coffee selection too, including Vietnamese drip coffee which is not very common on the Shenzhen scene yet. There is also a good selection of cider and other alcohol available, if you wanted something stronger with your meal after a long day at the office.
There is a special promotion on right now that enhances the value already found here. Buy any dish and get a drink for an extra 5RMB, alcohol included (add 8 RMB for Vietnamese drip coffee).
