Opening 29 July 2019, the new Park Hyatt Shenzhen is located in the heart of Futian central business district and is situated within the landmark Ping An Finance Center complex, which also houses the city’s tallest skyscraper. From the air, the 48-storey tower – designed by the New York-based architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) – resembles a dynamic glass and steel butterfly with its wings spread against the Shenzhen cityscape. The elegant and refined interiors of Park Hyatt Shenzhen, designed to resemble the luxurious courtyard mansion of a Chinese scholar, are by Toronto-based Yabu Pushelberg who also created Louis Vuitton in Hong Kong, Printemps in Paris and Park Hyatt New York.
