Pullman Huizhou Kaisa debuts at the important gateway of the east coast of the Greater Bay Area

Pullman, Accor’s upbeat and contemporary premium brand, announces the opening of Pullman Huizhou Kaisa as its 38th hotels in Greater China.

Huizhou is a central city in the Pearl River Delta and enjoys benefits from its strategic location in the Greater Bay Area as it is adjacent to Shenzhen, Dongguan and Hong Kong. Dotted with beautiful forested landscapes with mountains and lakes, Huizhou has been developing rapidly in the past ten years with a focus from its abundant natural tourism resources, high-tech and electronic information activities.

Situated in the CBD centre within the core of Huizhou’s downtown district, Pullman Huizhou Kaisa is part of Kaisa Huizhou Building, the tallest building in the city and a major landmark which includes Kaisa Plaza, a large scale commercial complex with commercial offices, residential apartments and a retail shopping mall. The hotel offers convenient access to the city’s transportation hub as well as the commercial area of Huizhou Pedestrian Street, Huizhou Convention & Exhibition Centre, and popular tourist attractions such as West Lake.

Gary Rosen, Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, Accor Greater China, said: “Pullman Huizhou Kaisa marks another important step for Accor’s development in southern China and the Greater Bay Area. With the on-going growth of the Greater Bay Area, Huizhou has enjoyed high quality developments while maintaining its leading position as a first class high tech zone as well as a top ten green city. All of these elements support our strategic decision to open Pullman Huizhou Kaisa in the city. Huizhou is a perfect match for the Pullman brand as the hotel echoes the dynamic vibe of the city’s beauty with its booming economy.”

Pullman Huizhou Kaisa was designed by the world famous design firm Cheng Chung Design (CCD) with a concept based on the urban Xanadu myth’s association with the city’s West Lake. Inspired by Song Dynasty scholar Su Dongpo’s numerous verses that paid tribute to the city and its citizens, traditional Chinese elements were introduced to the hotel’s interior design. Artistic Lingnan derived flourishes were incorporated within a contemporary environment to reflect the Pullman brand’s creative and playful design flair.

Pullman Huizhou Kaisa offers 307 well appointed guestrooms including 13 suites and 14 family rooms. All are outfitted with the brand’s signature Pullman Bed. Pullman’s art initiative Art at Play is manifested through the hotel’s details and can be seen on key cards, ceramic mugs and gift bags that animate the brand’s contemporary design philosophy, breathing it to life in every nook and cranny of the hotel.

Pullman Huizhou Kaisa’s guests will be spoiled with dining choices. The Kitchen is its all day dining destination featuring live cooking stations, extensive buffet selections and seafood specialities. Jealous Chinese restaurant offers creative Hakka, Cantonese and Chinese dishes with five private rooms for celebrating special gatherings. The Executive Lounge occupies the 59th floor and features panoramic views of the city via floor to ceiling windows. Far below is the Lobby Lounge on the first floor, with its intimate atmosphere serving high tea against the backdrop of classical music. The Lobby Lounge exemplifies Pullman’s signature The Junction concept of an open living room for friends in tandem with an informal business meeting venue. Pullman Artist Playground will take place in the lobby area, and will exhibit local artists, photographers, sculptors, painters and designers in partnership with the hotel for curated art experiences.

Business and MICE travelers can take advantage of 2,000 square meters of meeting and function spaces equipped with the latest technology and appointed with timeless elegance. Alongside an 800 square meter pillar free Grand Ballroom with built-in LED screen, there are a further nine meeting rooms that allow for different MICE configurations. Each meeting space offers unlimited Wi-Fi, flat screen monitor, overhead projector, audio visual system and wireless microphones. Part of Pullman’s Meet & Play meeting concept is a range of creative experiences designed to combine business and leisure activities through energized scenarios infused with cultural elements.

Both business and leisure guests will enjoy Pullman Huizhou Kaisa’s recreational facilities. They include Huizhou’s tallest fit lounge, a 46th floor Skyline indoor swimming pool, a 2,000 square meter recreation center, a children’s pool and a spa.

Geoffrey Huang, Pullman Huizhou Kaisa’s General Manager, said: “Pullman Huizhou Kaisa reinforces the Pullman brand’s international reputation for excellence through our outstanding facilities and offerings. I anticipate promising business prospects from the leisure, corporate and MICE business markets, as they experience firsthand the latest breathtaking landmark in the strategic location of Huizhou.”
