12 Confirmed Covid Cases in Shenzhen

SHENZHEN reported 12 locally transmitted confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, all discovered among close contacts of COVID infections found earlier, the municipal health commission said yesterday.

Among the 12 COVID cases, four patients live in Nanshan District, four live in Futian District and two live in Luohu District. Longgang and Bao’an districts each reported one COVID case.

The Shenzhen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital issued a notice Friday announcing the suspension of outpatient services in its Futian compound for two days, while its emergency department and fever clinic would continue to suspend services until further notice.

The hospital’s first outpatient department in Luohu as well as its internet hospital continue to operate normally, according to the hospital.

Longhua District designated high-, medium- and low-risk areas for COVID in Minzhi Subdistrict on Saturday, according to a notice issued yesterday by the district’s COVID prevention and control headquarters office.

Bao’an adjusted the coverage of the medium-risk area in Yuye Community of Xixiang Subdistrict on Saturday. After the adjustment, the whole of the Qingtiexi Huayuan residential compound was designated as a medium-risk area.
