Shenzhen Weekly Round Up – June 7, 2022: Space, Beijing & Covid, and More!

Dear Shenzhen-er,

I’m not exactly a fanboy of Elon Musk but I have found some Covid-insanity-soothing comfort in watching his Netflix documentaries about returning to space and the future mission to mars. In the spirit of sharing such comfort with our community I featured a piece on Chinese Astronauts below. A short piece about the Covid situation in Beijing throws us back to the reality on the ground here in China and a short “at a glance” wrap up article round out our news release this week.

Encountered quite the hiccup last week with our Weekend-er getting taken down on Wechat. It’s still available on our site if you’d like to have a look. We’ll do our best to make sure it doesn’t get flagged again this week despite the lack of transparency (which I’m sure you’re all used to if you’ve spent any amount of time here).
