Shenzhen Weekly Round Up – May 22: Coffee from the Sky!, Strawberry Music Festival and Oysters

Dear Shenzhen-er, 

Hope you enjoyed the weekend and the 520 holiday.

This week's roundup features a look at the "low-altitude" economy that's being developed in Longhua district. The coffee reference in this week's title isn't just to garner clicks - it's an actual thing coming soon to our doorsteps (or rooftops). The Strawberry Music Festival wrapped up over the weekend - marking the end of a multi-year-long hiatus for Modern Sky. We felt it prudent to highlight the festival as a number of other summertime events are coming up - think beaches, pools, and frosty beverages. Finally here's an eco-friendly piece on the humble Oyster - for those of you that don't know Shenzhen's Oyster industry has a long history extending well beyond the birth of the city.

The highlight for the upcoming weekend is Dive Fest 2.0. They're offering a boat add-on this year for those of you that would like to get your party on whilst afloat. Hope to see you there! On Friday prior to the Dive fest, there's an interesting DJ and Tattoo event going down in Nanshan. Lastly, this Sunday we'll be running our first community-driven event - more details will come out later this week as we finalize details.
