The Finest Shellfish of the Season Showcases at Silk at The Langham, Shenzhen

Shellfish is one of the finer delicacies when it comes to dining out, and as such, diners pay great attention to when is the best time to enjoy it. From now until November 15th, diners can enjoy the Shellfish Buffet Dinner at Silk restaurant. There are ten types of shellfish dishes to choose from, and all are available to be prepared by the chef in six different cooking styles.

Located on the 2nd floor of The Langham, Shenzhen, Silk restaurant combines modern design with The Langham’s traditional service. Choose from a cozy private booth or a table by the full-length window to look out on the city. Located in the center of the restaurant, the open kitchen provides guests with an interactive dining experience.

It is at the open kitchen where the treasure trove of shellfish can be found. Ready to be handpicked by diners, cooked fresh by the chef in whichever style chosen, and served to the table.

During the promotion, diners can choose from ten different options including the likes of Scallops, Oysters, Clams, Mussels, and Whelks. Once you’ve chosen your shellfish it’s time to pick a cooking style. Steamed with Garlic and Vermicelli, Steamed with Soya Bean, Grilled with Garlic, Baked with Cheese, or Tom Yam style; the choice is yours.

The Tom Yam style is very popular with guests while the Steamed with Garlic and Vermicelli comes highly recommended by the staff as well as the Steamed with Soya Bean. Whichever dish you end up choosing, simply make your order with the chef, give them your table number card, and the staff will serve directly to your table when it is ready.

Along with the Shellfish Buffet Dinner, Silk still serves the vast array of cuisine that has led to it gaining the reputation of one of Shenzhen’s top fine dining buffet restaurants. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of Asian and Western dishes.

Of course, the shellfish isn’t the only seafood on the menu at Silk. Diners can also choose from creatively crafted sushi and also enjoy the freshest Salmon, Sea Bream, and Hamachi sashimi.

Make sure not to skip the salad bar where as well being able to mix Asian and Western salad options, diners will find a wide selection of imported cheeses and cold cuts including Bresola, Pastrami, and Salami Milano.

Moving towards the main courses, you can savour the Italian dishes like Seafood Risotto and Salmon Pizza. The eye is immediately drawn to the chocolate fountain, but it is no ordinary chocolate fountain. Here the fountain flows with strawberry chocolate in the iconic pink of The Langham brand. After dipping a marshmallow in the fountain, head over to the ice cream server for a couple of scoops of your favorite flavor. Be sure not to forget to take your pick of the Chocolate Fondant, Apricot Crumble, and Mixed Berry Bread Pudding.
