Thanksgiving Dinner Made Easy With Sam’s Club
Think of Thanksgiving dinner and images of roast turkey pop up, complete with sumptuous stuffing and all kinds of side dishes.
But hang on! You suddenly remember it took days to defrost the turkey, and the constant worry as you hovered over the oven wondering if it was cooking well.
Why not enjoy a fuss-free yet still drool-worthy Thanksgiving dinner with Sam’s Club freshly-roasted turkeys? Perfectly sized between 5-6kg and roasted to perfection at our stores!
Some of you are definitely adventurous and would like to cook something for Thanksgiving to accompany your Sam’s Club pre-roasted turkey. The best dish to whip up, but without toiling over a hot stove all day, is a platter of pan-fried lamb chops!
We recommend you choose these perfectly cut fresh lamb chops sourced directly from the century-old Silver Fern Farms in New Zealand, guaranteeing a succulent, melt-in-your-mouth taste bonanza.
To compliment the delicate flavour of lamb, we suggest a list Pinot Noir and one of our favourites is Robert Mondavi’s Pinot Noir Carneros.
3 teaspoons dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried basil
2 teaspoons dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
16 New Zealand Silver Fern Farms Lamb Chops
4 tablespoon olive oil
4 finely chopped onion
11/3 cup balsamic vinegar
3 cup chicken stock
4 tablespoon (80g) butter
As you need several spices that are a bit hard to find in China, this Orii 20-Jar Spices Rotating Spice Rack definitely needs its space in your kitchen! It contains 20 types of spices and herbs such as rosemary, thyme, paprika, basil, oregano, and more.
HOW TO PAN FRY YOUR LAMB CHOPS
(1) In a small bowl, mix a tablespoon each of rosemary, basil, thyme, salt and pepper, with a little olive oil. Rub this mixture on both sides of the lamb chops. Place on a plate, cover, and set aside for 15 minutes to let it absorb the herb mix.
(2) Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Place lamb chops in the frying pan, and cook for about 3 1/2 minutes on each side for medium rare, or continue to cook to your liking. Remove from the pan, and keep warm on a plate.
(3) Add onions to the pan, and cook for a few minutes, just until browned. Stir in the vinegar, scraping any bits of lamb from the bottom of the frying pan, then stir in the chicken stock. Continue to cook and stir over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, until the sauce has reduced by half. If you don’t, the sauce will be runny, and well, not too good. Remove from heat, and stir in the butter. Pour over the lamb chops, serve, and enjoy.
The ideal side dish for your lamb chops?
Sam’s Club Mack Premium Asparagus is the ideal side as it compliments the delicate taste of lamb. You can boil it, bake it, or microwave it.
When done, drizzle a little olive oil and lemon juice over it and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
How do you end your meal? Definitely with a lovely dessert like Sam’s Club Poppies Belgian Mini Cream Puffs. These little bite-sized cream puffs will disappear in a flash so make sure you get enough!
And there you have it, Thanksgiving dinner made easy. After all, isn’t it better to spend the time with family and friends rather than slaving over the stove? With this simple, attractive, and delicious meal you’ll get to enjoy the evening!
